INFORMATION ON WAXING

If you’ve never had a wax before and are now thinking about taking the plunge here we can answer some of those awkward questions about male waxing.

Prior to treatment clients will go through a consultation and asked some health questions to ensure it is safe to carry out the treatment. It cannot be carried out on areas where there are varicose veins, skin diseases, cuts and abrasions.

Shower and exfoliate prior to treatment and if you are having an intimate wax make sure your private areas are clean .
Please do not shave or trim your hair in the area to be waxed, the hair needs to be 5-6mm in length for the wax to grip. Don’t have a fake tan or tattoo a few days before waxing.

Wear loose fitting clothing to avoid friction with the skin after treatment.

Prior to waxing the area is cleansed with a pre wax lotion and a warm strip wax applied. The wax adheres to the hair and is then peeled of using a paper strip which is pressed down over the waxed area. When waxing intimate areas a non strip peelable wax is used. After treatment a soothing lotion is applied to the skin.

Waxing of the male intimate areas is known as the Male Brazilian or BSC (Buttocks, Sack & Crack). Our male therapist will discuss with you the areas where you want hair removed.

With intimate waxing you may get aroused don't worry this usually subsides quickly. Please be advised however, that any inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

The effects of the treatment can last for 4-6 weeks depending on the rate of hair growth. Usually regular treatment results in less strong growth of replacement hair. Waxing regularly every 4-5 weeks should maintain a smooth appearance to your skin.
